Stories in Stone: An Archaeological History of the Pyrenees

This long-term project will aim to tell the story of the Pyrenees from an archaeological perspective, from the Palaeolithic caves to the arrival of the Urnfield culture, through to the explosion of Romanesque church building, feudal rivalries and heresies of the Middle Ages, and the remnants of the Spanish civil war. A variety of archaeological sites will be used as case studies to chart the story of this fascinating and diverse region, culminating in a richly illustrated volume.
